Child Firearm Safety
$100.00 – $250.00Price range: $100.00 through $250.00
Children’s Firearms & Safety Fundamentals program helps families establish clear, consistent safety habits that children are more likely to remember and follow. This dual-influence approach improves knowledge retention, reduces risky curiosity, and supports a safer environment both inside and outside the home.
This course addresses three critical components of firearm safety education:
Education
Children and parents learn:
- What firearms are and why they must always be treated as dangerous tools
- How to recognize unsafe situations and understand basic safety rules
- How parents can continue age-appropriate safety conversations at home
Prevention
The class helps families reduce risk by covering:
- Safe storage practices and why they matter
- Common misconceptions children may have about firearms from media or peers
- Real-world examples of preventable incidents and how they occur
Action
Through guided discussion and structured scenarios, children are taught:
- What to do if they encounter a firearm unexpectedly
- How to leave the area and notify a trusted adult
- How to apply these rules in different environments such as a friend’s home or public space
Cost is $50 for first child and $50 for first Adult. Each added participant is $25. There is a $15 range fee for each student that is not included in the cost of the class. You can pay the range fee now or the day of class.

Description
A Family-Integrated Learning Environment
Unlike programs that separate children from parents, this course is designed to be completed together. Parents observe and participate in the instruction so they can:
- Understand exactly what their children are being taught
- Reinforce the same language and expectations at home
- Maintain control over how firearm safety is integrated into their child’s upbringing
This structure ensures that children receive the benefit of authoritative instruction while parents remain the primary decision-makers in their child’s education.
Who This Class Is For
This program is appropriate for:
- Families who own firearms and want structured, professional safety instruction for their children
- Families who do not own firearms but want their children prepared for real-world encounters
- Parents who feel their children may respond more seriously to guidance delivered by a trained instructor
No prior experience or prerequisites are required.
